Overview
Prakriti Raksha Abhiyan was launched in December 2025 by Saadhak Foundation, Operation Smile Foundation and Vriksh Mitr Foundation, with the message that protecting nature is a shared duty. It builds on earlier work with families living on the Yamuna bank at Shastri Park, including a World Rivers Day conversation on how the polluted river affects their lives, a free health check-up camp, and winter clothing distribution.
Objectives
- 01Raise awareness for a clean Yamuna and cleaner air in Delhi
- 02Work with the riverbank communities most affected
- 03Combine awareness with practical relief such as health camps and warm clothing
Outcomes
- Health check-up camp for 100+ people at Shastri Park (September 2023)
- Warm clothes distributed to children and the local community with Dainik Jagran (January 2026)
